This housing development is designed to connect residents with nature and each other while still protecting private space.
The building’s design balances public and private areas. Public spaces include a ground-floor promenade and a plant nursery with community gardens. Residents have private entrances, and on the third floor, a physical bridge connects the four parcels, creating a secondary community space. This floor also has open-concept communal amenities like a gym and community room that offer views of the promenade below and other buildings.
The 30 residential units are spread across two buildings and are linked by smaller bridges for easy neighbor access. Each unit has dedicated plant-growing space, including a garden bed and a kitchen window shelf, encouraging residents to grow their own food and promoting natural ventilation. The design also maximizes natural light through a stacked building layout and light wells that extend from the top floors down to the ground. This flexible design allows residents to customize their spaces to optimize light and airflow.
Ultimately, this project focuses on sustainability, community, and nature, creating a balanced living environment that fosters both privacy and social connection.
