D475 | F2 Final Design

The design of the Cook Family Health Center took inspiration from the human body all while keeping the design centered around honest, transparent, and quality materials. The heart of the Cook Family Health Clinic is demonstrated in the on/off stage model in the center of the building, where the most vital activity happens with patients and clinicians. The model provides visual and auditory separation between patients/family and clinician staff.

The hallways act as blood vessels, leading clinicians and patients through the building with the help of floor patterns seen throughout the design. The clear separation between public, private, and semi-private spaces for clinicians and patients are filtered through blue and green color coded areas to distinguish the separate users.
